Date of Submission | July 2018

Objective | To design a self-sustaining living space for a group of five researchers on the Red Planet.
The Abeona station is located in the Syrtis Major quadrangle within the Peridier crater. The facility utilizes the Martian regolith and plentiful iron oxide to protect its habitants from the threat of solar radiation.

The station is divided into 3 sectors: living, research, and recreational quarter.
The three sectors are positioned and are rotated in a way to meet a specific function:
The living quarters are partially buried into the Martian terrain in order for the natural radiation to protect the researchers from the freezing nights.
The research quarter is rotated to face the south-east so the team could have enough natural sun light in order to perform farming experiments in or outside of the lab.
And lastly the recreational quarter is face the opposite direction, the north-east, so the team can have a leisurely view of the Martian hills while not getting harsh daylighting.
